It’s creepy season, which only makes for exciting themed sessions. We LOVE Halloween at Abigail Lewis Photography, so getting out on location with smoke bombs and pumpkins for a maternity session was a treat for us this week. Overly themed sessions aren’t for everyone, but when we get a chance to run wild, we try our hardest to make your visions become reality.
We are very lucky to live in a part of Wales that is a stones throw away from beautiful mountains and woodland, city architecture and a short drive from amazing costal areas. Location sessions can be more difficult, as there are more elements that are out of our control. This also makes the session more exciting, as we sometimes get results that take even us by surprise. With the wind and light constantly changing during this session, we managed to capture lots of billowing smoke and interesting shadows through the trees, which we loved.
Posing is always something that our customers say they are nervous about when they come in to design their session with us at their pre session consultation. We are always quick to reassure them how we take responsibility of this during the session. Kristie is always on hand whilst Abigail is capturing the images, to help pose and move each individual to a position that is flattering for them. This is especially necessary during maternity sessions as you can feel quite self conscious during this period in your life and we aim to help make everyone see the beauty in their bodies.
