Why Maternity Portraiture is Important
As luxury Maternity and Newborn Portraiture Specialists, we are always going to think Maternity Portraiture is important. The more we capture the pregnancy journey, the more cemented in its importance we become.
The path into parenthood is hard. We understand that sometimes you don’t feel like you want yourself documented at this stage. But once baby has arrived, a lot of new mothers tell us of their regret. Missing their bump and wishing they could see themselves like that again is common. Being mothers ourselves, we know how priceless our own maternity portraits are to our families.
It’s also a great heirloom for your children when they become a little older. To see their parents on the cusp of becoming parents, their parent. The joy and wonder in their eyes as the family grows.
Our maternity sessions, whether in studio or on location, are different from an average session. Many of our maternity customers have said they feel like they are getting married with the amount of time and effort we put in to making them feel comfortable and at ease. We use couture hand made gowns for the more elaborate sessions, but each session is bespoke, so we also offer more subtle wardrobe choices. All maternity sessions are specifically designed to each individual during the pre session consultation. This makes sure the individual feels as relaxed as possible and we get the absolute best from the session.
After the session, we book the viewing session. This is before baby arrives and gives us time to get excited and ready for their arrival and session at 5-14 days old. Printing the images differs to whether you are having them incorporated in a first year album or stand alone products.
