Behind the Scenes with Triplets

We were very excited to have not only these beautiful Triplets in the studio, but their older brother too. We have captured Phoenix since he was a newborn and to now have him back as an older brother was amazing to see. We have documented this family’s growth for just over a year and their first year album is going to be BEAUTIFUL.

With the bunk bed shot, there was no safe way to put them all in the same image together. This was a composite with Phoenix going first and then each triplet individually being posed on a different bunk. That allowed Kristie to keep her hand on each one so that there was no chance of them rolling or startling. It is important that no matter the shot and what you want to achieve during the session, safety always comes first! In the end the triplets smashed their session. We got all the shots that we had talked to the family about and we managed it in less time than we expected.

We had been preparing for the triplets arrival for months. We ordered lots of outfits and even had a triplet bunk bed made for the sibling shot. Pre Session Consultations are so important for every session so that we can ensure we have everything in studio and ready for your session. If anything specific needs to be ordered we will do our best to source and get it in time for you.

With all newborn sessions there is a lot of feeding and soothing and the only difference with this one was that we had to do it x3. It was all hands on deck with Abigail and Kristie, as well as Mam, all doing their best to get everyone to sleep and settled at the same time.
