The first newborn photography session of the year is always nice after we have had a break to recharge.
Baby Sonny was born just before Christmas and lives quite a distance from our studio so he was a little over the 5 – 14 day period that we usually photograph babies in, but still managed to absolutely smash it! There were a few colours and props that his parents definitely wanted but most of the set ups we chose for them, based on what they told us they liked in their pre session and the colours that were prominent in their maternity session.
Another one of our favourites was Baby Sonny under the grey blanket with a bobble bonnet on. We have these bonnets in so many colours because we just loved them so much when we attended The Newborn and Portrait Show last year. He looks so comfy and peaceful we didn’t want to move him to get him ready for the next set up.

One of our favourite images from the newborn photography session were the navy blue images. He was so content when he was wrapped up that he didn’t move when we posed him for different angles. We love using felted props in our newborn photography session as they give so much depth of colour and texture.
