The Perfect Mirrorless Camera with MPB

Living with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is difficult, even more so when your job includes using heavy equipment. Now a DSLR is by no means the heaviest piece of equipment in the world but when you realise that even lifting a cup of coffee has caused me to dislocate my collar bone, you can see why lifting a camera up and down all day can become an issue. So when the guys at MPB invited us to visit their offices and warehouse in Brighton to test out some new kit, we couldn’t wait to get down there!

First we visited the warehouse, which was really interesting. It was awesome to see how everything worked and the process each piece of equipment goes through to be bought or sold on. MPB only sell used equipment which is amazing, from a sustainability point of view. This circular economy means you can trade in your old equipment and offset the cost of new equipment, whilst helping the planet a little.

When at the warehouse we got to trial 3 different mirrorless set ups that would be lighter and an upgrade from our current gear. Ian Howorth (MPB in house photographer and all round legend) hand picked 3 specific camera set ups for us, from 3 different brands and talked to us about the pros and cons. You can see the first part of the video of our time there and get all of the information on the cameras in the video below.

We love the environment that MPB has created for the business and the people who work there. It was so exciting to see how far they have come in such a short space of time. A big THANK YOU goes out to Craig at MPB for facilitating the collaboration and to Palmer at Ffilm Productions for the video!
