When the sun is out in Wales, there is nowhere like it. So when we get a chance to do a destination maternity photography session in Swansea we jump at the opportunity. Three Cliffs Bay in Swansea is a perfect location for a destination photography session, especially at golden hour. We had planned this session around shooting some images for a video we were producing for MPB which will be on our Youtube channel very soon.
Battling the elements is always fun during these maternity sessions, and this one was no different. We were losing light very quickly and the wind was very strong next to the sea. But the client nailed every pose we asked her to do and we finished the session in record time.
Instead of using a gown, this time we used a silk scarf tied around the client. It meant we had a lot of material that we could use to get these flowing fabric shots that we absolutely love! It also meant that we could make any adjustments easily around the bump as some maternity gowns are quite difficult to adjust if they don’t quite fit right.
